Teabonics, a slideshow

Filed under: Politics, procrastination — admin @ 7:50 am

While it doesn’t yet have its own entry in Wikipedia as of this writing, Teabonics is the name referring to the creative spelling on protest signs held by outraged right wing political activists, commonly known as the Teabag Party, or, in an incredible lack of foresight and/or cultural awareness, “Teabaggers.” I stumbled on the word, and then did a flickr search. (keep an eye out for “youth in asia will kill your grandma”, which I pray is a troll.) Behold:

If it doesn’t load, here’s a link  (You can accelerate or slow down the image pace under “options”, in the upper right hand corner).

*edit: I didn’t realize that someone has done this superbly at www.teabonics.com. no ads, just 100% juice. nice.

Maybe it’s not funny, because it’s hard to tell from the article if she is killing the rabbits or otherwise mistreating them, but the headline “
Oregon woman obsessed with rabbits arrested again” points to a bizarre article. Of all the things to smuggle… rabbits?!

Woah.

pretty cool interactive websites

Filed under: procrastination — Observo @ 10:18 am

Have you ever heard the complaint about capitalism that states that our best talent is being pimped by the advertising industry? The logic goes that if this era does have a Beethoven, he (or she) composes jingles for Frito-Lay and Kit-Kat. Even thought the sites above are for the most part for slick interactive ad agencies, they are pretty cool to check out. So go have a look at what DaVinci and Van Gogh are up to…
